I
once heard an older women talk about how much she detested what technology has
done to the fashion industry. She believed that fashion used to be an exclusive
insider phenomenon, now it has been watered down because it is more assessable.
Oftentimes people get stuck in their ways and don’t realize an evolution when
they see one. The evolution of fashion via technology and social media has had great
impacts on the industry. The rise of the fashion blogger, the use of drones in fashion
shows, and now social media outlets like YouTube, instagram, snap chat, and Facebook
has made fashion not only visible assemble to everyone, but more widely
accepted. One of my favorite fashion
videos on YouTube is by a blogger named Wendy. The video is about her
experience at Firenze4Ever, which is an event where
bloggers and designers come together. The video is beautiful. It is well edited
and brings technology and fashion together beautifully! I encourage you to take
three minutes to watch it in its entirety!
Instagram is another platform that truly elevates the art of fashion and gives it a modern vibe. This platform allows for fashion lovers to tell a story with their pictures. For example, blaireadiebee the instagram account connected to the Atlantic pacific blog truly shows a story on her instagram. Her life between NYC and California, her trips to China and France are exquisitely presented in her story on instagram.
Even Snap chat has a great influence on fashion. Designers like Michael Kors, Valentino, and Stella McCartney all use this social media platform. Snap chat, like the other forms of social media allows people an inside look into the fashion industry.
I think these technical advances are a great addition to an
already amazing industry.

Through H&M is a store that I visit for inexpensive trendy
pieces or inexpensive basics, I found this look book to be aesthetically
pleasing.
Maybe it’s the hipster in me but the overall laid bad look
of theses looks makes me very excited for spring. If only New York City would cooperate
with the spring weather. Hello 30 degree weather!
I really appreciate the headpiece on the model. Not so much
the design but the actual idea of it. I have already incorporated this trend
into my wardrobe. View the Video below for more looks.
